SDI course

DPV Diver

Covering ground effortlessly. And yes, it is exactly as fun as it looks.

Duration
1-2 days
Group
Max 4 per instructor
Where
Šibenik, Brač and Tisno

A scooter turns a long swim into an easy ride, and turns bad trim into a problem very quickly. You learn to rig and check the DPV, steer it, control speed and park, and handle failures, with gas and battery planned around conservative turn points. You leave actually knowing how to fly one with control, not just holding a trigger.

Who it's for

  • You want to see more of a site in one dive.
  • You want to try scootering before technical diving asks it of you.

What you'll work on

  1. 01Rigging, checking and maintaining a DPV
  2. 02Trim, trigger control, turning, parking and speed
  3. 03Planning gas, battery and distance
  4. 04DPV failures, entanglement, gas sharing and team separation

Before you come

  • A recreational certification from any agency.
  • Steady buoyancy and trim. You will need them at speed.

What's included

  • Training with an SDI instructor
  • Underwater video of your skills, reviewed together
