SDI course

Open Water Scuba Diver

Your first certification, taught so the basics are right from the first breath.

Duration
3-5 days
Group
Max 4 per instructor
Where
Šibenik, Brač and Tisno

You learn what every Open Water course teaches: equipment, physics, planning, and the skills that keep you and your buddy safe. The difference is what we watch while you learn it. Trim and buoyancy start in your first session in shallow water, not later, so you never have to unlearn kneeling on the bottom.

Who it's for

  • Diving is new to you, or you know it from one try dive on holiday.
  • You want to learn it properly the first time.

What you'll work on

  1. 01Theory: equipment, physics, physiology and dive planning
  2. 02Skills in shallow water, with trim and buoyancy from the start
  3. 03Open water dives with your instructor
  4. 04Afterwards you may dive to 18 m with a certified buddy

Before you come

  • Minimum age 10, with parental consent under 18. From 10 to 14 you certify as Junior Open Water.
  • Swim 200 m, or 300 m with mask, fins and snorkel, and float for 10 minutes.
  • A medical questionnaire. Some answers need a doctor's sign-off.

What's included

  • Training with an SDI instructor
  • Underwater video of your skills, reviewed together

Your next certification starts with a message.
